Shanghai Pudong International Airport is located in the Pudong New Area of Shanghai, China, approximately 30 kilometers from the city center. It is a Class 4F civilian airport, the largest hub airport in East China, and also the region's largest gateway airport and international air cargo hub.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport was established in 1999 and has two passenger terminals and three cargo areas, covering an area of 824,000 square meters. It features 218 aircraft parking stands, of which 135 are for civilian aircraft, and four runways: two 3,800-meter runways, one 3,400-meter runway, and one 4,000-meter runway.
Currently, Pudong Airport handles over 70 million passengers annually, with annual cargo and mail throughput exceeding 4 million tons. It operates flights to 297 destinations across 47 countries and regions worldwide.
